Stephen M. Morris

Stephen M. Morris, a native of Peoria, Illinois, was formerly a partner with Hinshaw & Culbertson. Mr. Morris focuses his practice on general tort liability defense, commercial litigation, business transactions, and collections. He graduated from Creighton University with a B.A. in political science in 1993 and received his Juris Doctorate from Creighton University School of Law in 1996. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois, the Central and Northern District Federal Courts of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. Mr. Morris has successfully defended dozens of personal injury matters to jury verdicts. He has extensive bench trial experience on a wide array of litigated matters. He is a member of the Peoria County and Illinois Bar Associations. Stephen is an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish, having served on the Men's Club Board and the Education Commission. He is the Treasurer of the City of Peoria, the former vice-chairman of the Peoria County Board, the current Chairman of the Peoria City-County Landfill Committee, a Greater Peoria Sanitary District Trustee, and a Peoria Liquor Commissioner. He also serves on various other non-profit boards and is an active volunteer in the community.
